Please reach us at Board@green-fieldsswimclub.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Green-Fields Swim Club is a private club and not open to the public. Guests are only allowed admission with a member in good standing.
The Swim Club has a manager, assistant managers, an Aquatics Director, and lifeguards on staff to manage day-to-day operations during the season. All other activities throughout the year, including opening and closing the pool, is managed by the Board.
What is the Board?
The Board is an elected group of bonded members who are responsible for Swim Club oversight. We have several different subcommittees, including Operations, Communications, and Membership. Any bonded membership is eligible for a Board seat. The Board holds 12 individuals. Board members are volunteers.
We are always looking for help, please attend any of our open Board meetings, posted to the calendar and our Facebook page.
A bondholder holds ownership in the pool. This should be viewed as a long-term commitment. Bond purchase is a one-time cost of $450. Since you are buying ownership in the pool, you're committing to a renewal of your annual membership.
For Summer 2025 only , membership dues are due before 6/1/2025 due to the new membership software. Typically, annual membership dues must be paid by May 1st. Any bondholder’s dues and assessments not paid by, or postmarked by May 1st, will be subject to a late fee.
Dues and assessments must be paid whether the facility is used or not. Back dues and assessments are required before a membership can be renewed. After two consecutive seasons of unpaid dues, your bond will be revoked and no repayment will be made.
Yes, you can freeze your membership for one year by paying the capital assessment fee. If you remain inactive for two years, you will need to pay the capital assessment fee for the previous period. If we do not hear from you within two years, your bond will be forfeited and not refunded. Utilizing the freeze option can only be done once.
Guest passes are available to members. Please see the Pool Rules section of the website for full details about guest passes and privileges.
Yes! MEMBERS can complete the request form in the Membership portal or stop by the front desk to speak to a manager on duty to complete the party request form. All parties require approval. More information can be found on the facility-rental section of the website. Since we are a private pool, we are only allowing events by members only.
It's certainly understandable that you might need to resign your bond. If that's the case, please send us a written request along with the completed Bond Resignation form, which you can find in the GFSC Forms section of our website.
We want to be transparent about the bond repurchase process. Currently, bond repayments have been temporarily frozen because our membership is below the 400 members required to meet our bond repayment obligations.
Generally, the club repurchases bonds from resigning shareholders in the order their requests are received. However, we can only purchase your bond once a new member joins and pays the club in full for a share. Due to the current membership levels, the estimated wait time for bond repurchase is approximately 4-5 years. We appreciate your understanding as we work to grow our membership.
